Development Road to the observatory

The Cerro El Roble is a 2222 meter high mountain in central Chile and one of the highest peaks of the Chilean coastal cordillera in central Chile; it is located in the La Campana National Park . At the summit, the completed in 1968 is the observatory Cerro El Roble Observatory (English) or Observatorio Cerro El Roble (Spanish). It houses one of the largest Maksutov telescopes (AZT-16) with an aperture of 700 mm.
