The Cerro San Miguel is a solitary island mountain in the Kaa-Iya del Gran Chaco National Park in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
The Cerro San Miguel rises about 500 meters from the vast plains of the Bolivian Gran Chaco and reaches a height of 839 meters. It is located in the municipality of Charagua in the Cordillera province in the southern part of the Santa Cruz department , seventeen kilometers north of the border with Paraguay and the border region Palmar de las Islas . At the eastern foot of Cerro San Miguel is the Fortín Ravelo military station with a 1,000-meter-long aircraft landing strip.
