The Cerulean Lake is located in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park in British Columbia at an altitude of 2250 m .
The lake is west of the Assiniboine Lodge and north of the Lake Magog campsite. It is a popular destination for day trips from the lodge or camping.
Rainbow trout ( Oncorhynchus mykiss ) and probably the rare cutthroat trout ( Oncorhynchus clarki bouvieri ) live in the lake . Exceptionally large specimens weighing over 10 pounds were caught in Cerulean Lake.
