Cesare Sterbini
Cesare Sterbini (born October 29, 1783 in Rome , † January 19, 1831 there ) was an Italian opera librettist .
Sterbini wrote the libretti for two operas by Gioacchino Rossini : the libretto for Il barbiere di Siviglia and the libretto for Torvaldo e Dorliska, based on a comedy by Pierre Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais .
