Château du Carpia
The Château du Carpia in Castillon-de-Castets , a place in the French commune of Castets et Castillon in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built from the end of the 15th century. The castle , which is located about two kilometers southeast of the village, has been on the list of architectural monuments in France since 2004 as Monument historique .
The former fortified complex consists of a main building, the rectangular corps de logis with a stair tower, and two auxiliary buildings that frame the inner courtyard. The stair tower is the oldest part of the castle, it dates from the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century.
