Championship of the dam's sires in Great Britain and Ireland
The championship of the parent fathers in the UK and Ireland ( English leading broodmare sire in Great Britain and Ireland ) is the horse racing an annual award for the most successful sire of broodmares . This is not directly a sporting competition, but the victorious father horse is determined on the basis of statistics about the racing prizes (prize money in races) won by the offspring of his daughters (grandchildren).
In the stallion list , the champions of the dam sires in Great Britain and Ireland have been listed since 1899. The champions of the dam's sires are the stallions that sired the broodmares that were most successful in a given year. The success of a broodmare is assessed on the basis of the prize money that the mare's offspring won during the observation period.
