In 1994, the new NWA banner NWA Major League Wrestling succeeded CWF. However, in late 2001 this promotion was discontinued when a large part of the wrestling squad split from the MLW. In the summer of 2002 MLW was renewed as an independent promotion and continued until 2004.

Championship Wrestling From Florida

On December 2, 2002, the wrestler Kevin Rhodes reactivated the banner Championship Wrestling from Florida after a large part of the roster had separated in December 2001 in the dispute over the style of Major League Wrestling.

The reactivated CWF continued the traditional "Southern Style" and became an Associated Promotion of the NWA. In January 2003, NWA became full membership and CWF now organizes under the banner of NWA Championship Wrestling From Florida .

Together with its associated NWA sub-organizations, the CWF also organized tournaments under the banner of NWA Global Pro-Wrestling . In September 2012, the promotion ended its collaboration with the NWA and is now working with Pro Wrestling Fit .
