The Champness Glacier is a 25 km long glacier in the Bowers Mountains in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from Ian Peak in a northeasterly direction to the Lillie Glacier , which it reaches on the Griffith Ridge mountain range .
Participants in a 1967 to 1968 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after Grahame Richard Champness, an assistant scientist who carried out field research on this expedition in northern Victoria Land.
