Chan-jo Jun (born May 10, 1974 in Verden ) is a German lawyer .

Life

After studying law at the University of Würzburg , Jun worked for McKinsey & Company for several years . In 2001, Jun founded the Würzburg law firm JunIT. The law firm advises a. Software and automobile manufacturers in IT legal issues and develops expert systems for the automated solution of legal problems using artificial intelligence .

In 2016, Jun generated worldwide attention by launching investigations against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other top managers, including COO Sheryl Sandberg , for aiding and abetting sedition . A year later, Jun succeeded in bringing Facebook to a German court for the first time. However, the interim injunction that Jun brought for a Syrian refugee for defamatory content on the social network failed before the Würzburg district court. Since then, Jun has appeared regularly on TV talk shows and expert panels on the subject of online hate crime and the spread of fake news . Jun is also a member of the IT law committee at the German Federal Bar .
