The Chancellor Lakes are two small lakes near the Scott Coast in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range , they are not far from the top of a mountain ridge north of the Walcott Glacier .
Participants in a campaign from 1960 to 1961 as part of the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expeditions named them in honor of the Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington .
