The reviews of changes were different. Amelie Köppl from Laut.de awarded two out of five possible points and described some of the songs as unsuitable for the album. “ Changes , for Roman Lobs' praised musical ambitions in advance, has turned out to be too bumbling and inconsistent. His slightly smoky, pleasant voice does not come into its own with all the style changes. Obviously, Roman Lob is a born ballad singer, but that raises the question of why one didn't want to stick to the rough direction of Standing Still , Day By Day or Revolution and not just sit the young man in front of his piano. Because then these button eyes would perhaps keep what they promise. "
CD-Ratings says: “Overall, Changes is a decent, but not an outstanding debut album. The different styles suggest that Roman Lob wanted to try himself and bring different sides of his personality to the album. In addition to Standing Still , the song Changes, as the album's namesake, stands out from the other titles. "
Plattenstests.de finds that there is no held line. More pop numbers would have to be developed in order to better present Lob's voice.
CD Stars joins in and sees the potential for praise. He should find his style, then there would be long-lasting success.
