Reformed Church Muhen

The Reformed Church Muhen is the Reformed Church in the Aargau community of Muhen in Switzerland . It was inaugurated in 1961.

history

Originally, the Müheler Reformed belonged to two different parishes, one to Schöftland , the other to Oberentfelden . The resolution to found its own parish was made on December 8, 1946 and was implemented on January 1, 1948 by the resolutions of the Aargau Reformed Synod and the Grand Council . However, the Reformed had to wait another 13 years before they could consecrate their church in 1961. Long discussions about the location and appearance of the church followed. The implemented project was finally designed and built by the architect Hans Hauri (1912–1986) from Reinach . The stained glass windows in the church were made by Heini Widmer, then head of the Aargauer Kunsthaus, and were made using the concrete and glass technique.
