The Reformed Church of Kölliken is the village church of the Aargau community of Kölliken in Switzerland . It is in the center of the village near the train station.

history

Around the year 1000, the first church consecrated to St. Blaise was built in Kölliken . It was first mentioned in a document in 1258. The church set was initially owned by the St. Gallen monastery . In 1345 it came to the Johanniterkommende in Biberstein , and in 1535 to the city and republic of Bern . The building that exists today was built in 1507 and has served the Reformed denomination since 1528. From 1616 to 1865 Safenwil was also part of the Kölliken parish. In 1920 the church was expanded to the north and west.

Buildings and equipment

While the south facade of the nave , the choir and the church tower date from the late Gothic era, the modern extension on the west and north facade of the nave is in the neo-Gothic style. The tower is placed on the north side of the choir and is made of pebbles and house stones, plastered and structured by cornices . The pulpit and the baptismal font date from 1867, in the same year the glass paintings were removed . The five church bells installed in 1887 come from the H. Rüetschi foundry .
