Safenwil Church

The Reformed Church of Safenwil is the village church of the Aargau community of Safenwil in Switzerland .

Originally the Safenwilers visited the church in Kölliken . In the second half of the 19th century, the community finally managed to get its own church, which was built in 1866. The church windows were designed by the Brittnau artist Fritz Strebel. The church received its first organ as early as 1884, which was replaced by a new one in 1953. The latter was built by the Metzler company. From 1911 to 1922 Karl Barth was pastor in Safenwil and preached regularly in the church.
