The reformed church Untersiggenthal is the reformed church in the parish of Untersiggenthal of the reformed parish of Baden , in the Swiss canton of Aargau . It was inaugurated in 1965.

history

The first Reformed came to Untersiggenthal as early as 1809. These were five farming families from Brienz who took over three farms in Steinenbühl . Two years later they were assigned to the parish of Baden at their own request. It was not until 1914 that Reformed church services took place regularly in the Untersiggenthal schoolhouse, and from 1915 religious instruction was given to the Reformed schoolchildren from 3rd to 8th grade. When the parish of Baden created a fourth pastoral post in 1959, its seat was in Untersiggenthal. As early as 1952, the parish had bought land in Untersiggenthal, which was given the necessary size through acquisitions and exchanges of land so that the church could be built. A rectory and other parish rooms were to be built next to the church. In 1960 an architecture competition was held, which was won by the Siegenthaler architects from Baden. The foundation stone was laid in 1963 and the church was consecrated on the 1st of Advent 1965.
