The Reformed Church Unterentfelden is the Reformed church center in the Aargau community of Unterentfelden .

history

Unterentfelden belonged to Suhr for centuries and became independent in 1959. At the first parish assembly on April 12, 1959, a building loan of 440,000 francs was granted. The groundbreaking took place at the beginning of August and the foundation stone was laid on October 11, 1959. J. the topping-out ceremony was celebrated and in October 1960 the church center, which was designed as a multi-purpose building with a bell tower, was inaugurated. The tower was not finished until 1962, so that the bell could be lifted on September 22nd, 1962. There are six bells in the church tower and the tower was renovated for the first time in 1996.

Bells

Six bells hang in the belfry:

  • 1. Bell ("Saffa"): The smallest bell weighs 130 kg and is tuned to the tone "f". Originally, this bell was cast in 1958 for the ecumenical center of the “ Swiss Exhibition for Women's Work ” (Saffa) and then stood at the Rüetschi bell foundry in Aarau. The parish received the bell as a baptismal bell from the non-profit women's association Aarau. Inscription: "Come to me all who are troublesome and burdened, and I will give you rest". (Mt 11:28)
  • 2. Bell ("joy"): This bell has a weight of 300 kg and is tuned to the tone "c". It was donated by the local community of Unterentfelden. Inscription: "Behold, I bring you great joy." (Lk 2.10)
  • 3. Bell (“Friede”): This bell weighs 420 kg and is tuned to tone “b”. It was donated by D. Vacchina-Lehmann. Inscription: «I give you my peace.» (Jn 14:27)
  • 4. Bell ("Faith"): The bell has a weight of 620 kg and is tuned to the tone "as". Inscription: "Watch, stand in faith, be manly and strong." (1 Cor 16:13)
  • 5. Bell ("Hope"): This bell weighs 900 kg and is tuned to the tone "Gb". It was donated by the Reformed parish of Aarau. Inscription: "Seek what is above, not what is on earth." (Col 3,2)
  • 6. Bell ("love"): The largest one weighs 1,450 kg and is tuned to the tone "es". It was donated by the parish association Unterentfelden. Inscription: "Remain in my love." (Joh 15,9)
