The Reformed Church of Bözberg is one of the two historical churches of the Evangelical Reformed parish of Bözberg-Mönthal. It is located in the hamlet of Kirchbözberg in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland, which belongs to the municipality of Bözberg (until 2012: Unterbözberg ) .

history

The church was built in the 11th century as a wayside cross church in Romanesque style. It was consecrated to St. Michael. In 1483 it was enlarged, then renewed in 1681 and renovated again and again later. In 1825 the church tower on the east side was demolished and in 1834 it was replaced by a new tower on the west side. The last major renovation was carried out in 1983/1984.

The bell cage of the church is equipped with the following bells:

  • g 650 kg, 1040 mm diameter
  • b 425 kg, 890 mm diameter
  • c "300 kg, 800 mm diameter
  • d "195 kg 710 mm diameter
