Reformed church Vordemwald

The Reformed Church of Vordemwald is the Reformed village church in the Aargau community of Vordemwald . It was inaugurated in 1949 and belongs to the Reformed parish of Zofingen .

In order to avoid the long journey of over five kilometers to visit sermons in Zofingen, the idea of building a church in Vordemwald came up as early as the 19th century. The political community rejected the building twice, however, because, despite the promised donations, they shied away from the construction and follow-up costs. The building project was only taken up again at the end of the first half of the 20th century. A church building association was founded and the parish assembly decided on June 23, 1947 to build a church. The church was built by the architect Hans Hübscher. It was inaugurated in December 1949. The total cost was CHF 347,000. The lift of the four donated bells could be celebrated a year later. In 1996 the church was renovated inside and out.
