Chanileh ( Kurdish Xanîle , Persian خانیله) is a small village 6 km southwest of Rawansar and about 56 km away from Kermanshah in western Iran .

It is located on the southern slope of the hill area of Salakan and overlooks the Gomeshter (Garaw) plain. Salakan is part of the Radiolarian Belt and has numerous springs on the northern and southern slopes. The presence of these springs and the impressive view from Khanileh over the plain drew prehistoric people to the area since the Copper Age . The settlement lasted until the Bronze and Iron Ages . The remains of these early settlements are visible on an old burial mound west of the village and in an old Iron Age cemetery in the village itself. Shards on the western hill can be dated back to the 1st and 4th millennium BC. There is also a low hill, which testifies to Parthian settlement south of the village called Tapa Bawa. These sites were explored in 1986 and 2006, which resulted in the discovery of a number of sherds and Stone Age artifacts. The presence of the fragments from the Islamic period indicates that the village was inhabited during this period.
