The Channel Glacier is a 2.5 km long Kar glacier that stretches between Nipple Peak and the Wall Range in an east-west orientation over Wiencke Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago .
It was discovered during the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . It received its name in 1927 by participants in the British Discovery Investigations , the order on his to a channel (English channel alluded) reminiscent character.
