The Chaos Reef is an irregular area of rocky reefs and shallows in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 1.1 km northeast of Morris Rock on the northern end of the Aitcho Islands .
This geographical object was given its descriptive name in 1971 by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee .
