Coordinates: 28 ° 30 ′  S , 114 ° 47 ′  E The Shire of Chapman Valley is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3965 km² and has about 1400 inhabitants (2016).

Chapman Valley is located in the west of the state on the Australian west coast about 400 kilometers north of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the town of Nabawa, where about 130 residents live (2016).

The Chapman Valley Council has eight members elected by residents of the two wards (four from the North East Ward, two from the South West Ward). The Council Chairman and President des Shires are also recruited from among the Councilor.
