Charles Allen (athlete)
Charles Tyrone Allen (born March 29, 1977 in Georgetown ) is a Canadian hurdler of Guyanese origin who specialized in the 110-meter course .
At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he started for Guyana and was eliminated in the preliminary stages.
At the World Athletics Championships in 2003 he reached the semifinals, now playing for Canada. The following year he was sixth at the Olympic Games in Athens .
At the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, he finished fourth and won bronze with the Canadian team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
He was a total of five Canadian champions (2002-2004, 2006, 2007).
Charles Allen is 1.75 m tall and weighed 76 kg at competition times. He started for the Mississauga Track Club.
