Charles Combes

Charles-Pierre-Mathieu Combes (born December 26, 1801 in Cahors , † January 10, 1872 in Paris ) was a French engineer. He was Inspector General of the Mines and Rector of the École des Mines . He is on the list of 72 names on the Eiffel Tower . In 1847 he became a member of the Académie des Sciences .
