Charles Iceland is an uninhabited arctic island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of the Canadian territory of Nunavut . The 235 km² island is located in the Hudson Strait , 19 km northwest of Cap de Nouvelle-France , the northernmost point of the Ungava Peninsula .
Charles Island has an east-west extension of 35 km. The maximum width is 9 km. The largest elevation reaches 46 m.
