Charles Moreau

Charles Moreau (born February 18, 1820 in Delsberg , † before 1876 ) was a Swiss politician . From 1851 to 1854 he was a member of the National Council.

He was the son of the lawyer Charles-Jean-Baptiste Moreau and his wife Anne Wicka . Charles Moreau married Marie Marguerite Gressly , the daughter of François-Xavier Gressly , co-owner of the Laufen glazier.

biography

Little is known about him. He was the son of the governor of the same name of the Franches-Montagnes . Moreau was a co-owner of the glazier in Laufen and a lawyer in Delsberg. On the side of the Catholic Conservatives, he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . He ran in the National Council elections in 1851 and was elected in the constituency of Jura . In May 1854 he resigned.
