Charles Nicholson (* 1795 in Liverpool , † March 26, 1837 in London ) was a British flautist who performed regularly in London. Between 1816 and 1836 was frequently heard as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Society and other important orchestras. Nicholson never performed outside of the UK. In addition to his work as an instrumentalist, he also gave lessons and published a number of textbooks that were published in the 19th century.
