The World Snooker Championship took place in 1934 at Lounge Billiard Hall in Nottingham , England .
The winner, for the eighth time in a row, was Joe Davis . The game was played, for the third and last time, in the back room of the pub owned by snooker player Tom Dennis . The finals of the World Championships in 1929 and 1931 took place here, in which Dennis was always defeated by Davis. However, he did not take part in this tournament himself.
