The World Snooker Championship 1974 (also 1974 Park Drive World Snooker Championship ) was a professional snooker tournament . It was held from April 16-25 at the Belle Vue in Manchester . In the final, the reigning world champion Ray Reardon from Wales defeated the Englishman Graham Miles with 22:12. Miles played the highest break of the tournament in the semifinals with a 131 break. Reardon received a bonus of ₤ 2000 after his final victory. The last time a World Championship was sponsored by Park Drive . The following year there was no sponsor.

The eight qualifiers and eight other players competed in the first round. The games went on for a maximum of 15 frames. The games were played on April 17th.

After the first round, the second round was held on the next two days. The quarter-finals were held from April 19-20, the semi-finals from April 21-22. The final was held from April 23rd to 25th.
