The 1932 World Snooker Championship was held at Thurston's Hall in London , England . As with the World Championships in 1928 and 1931, this was a title defense tournament in which the title holder only fought for his title and the new crown in the final. Joe Davis was able to achieve this for the fifth time successfully against New Zealander Clark McConachy , who took part in the World Cup for the first time, and thus received his sixth title in a row. It was also the first World Championship final in which a non-English player competed and also reached the final.
