The blacksmith's guild is a listed building in the Upper Swabian town of Memmingen . It has the address Zangmeisterstraße 6.

location

The house is located in the ensemble protection area of the Welfenstadt , the oldest part of the city of Memmingen. Zangmeisterstraße is the northern extension of the market square and was the former connection road to Lake Constance . The house is in the restricted traffic area .

History and description of the building

It was built in the 17th century and has three floors. Today the ground floor is used by a florist and the upper floors are used for residential purposes.

The eaves house has three axes, the upper floors protrude over broad arches on consoles. In the middle axis on the first floor there is a flat, three-sided bay window on a profiled console with a stucco mask. There are drilled door frames on the first floor and a modern shop fitting on the ground floor.
