The 1954 World Snooker Championship was the third edition of the Professional Matchplay Championship . It took place at Houldsworth Hall in Manchester . With a 45:26 win in the final against the Scot Walter Donaldson , the Englishman Fred Davis became world champion for the third time in a row and thus won his sixth world title.
