As in previous years, the 1930 World Snooker Championship was held at various venues. The final took place for the first time at Thurston's Hall , London , England .

Defending champion and winner of the tournament for the fourth time was Joe Davis . There was a new edition of the final of 1929 in which Tom Dennis could not win against Davis this time either.

Joe Davis was able to improve his record from the previous year and played the highest break of 79 points.
