The 1990 World Snooker Championship took place from April 13 to May 29, 1990 at the Crucible Theater in Sheffield .
In the final, the Scot Stephen Hendry met Jimmy White . Hendry won the title with an 18:12 victory and became the youngest snooker world champion of all time at the age of 21 years and 106 days . Six-time world champion Steve Davis, on the other hand, missed a World Cup final for the first time since 1982.
