final

Although Stephen Hendry had only been among the best in the world for two years, he had a match record of 6: 2 against world number two John Parrott . In the previous year he had won against the Englishman 4-2 in the same place. As in the previous year, Hendry got the first frame, but the game remained even until the 2-2. Then the Scot took the lead again with 3: 2 and with his back to the wall Parrott could not put anything against it and lost again with 2: 4. For Hendry it was the tenth final in an extremely successful season and the London Masters victory was his seventh title and the 16th title in his career so far.
