The Pontins Professional 1990 was a snooker tournament as part of the 1989/90 season . It was held in May at the Pontins' holiday resort in Prestatyn on the north coast of Wales.

Defending champion Darren Morgan was eliminated in round 1. Stephen Hendry reached the only time and as the only Scotsman the final of the tournament, where he defeated Mike Hallett 9: 6. He had recently become world champion for the first time . This season he had won 8 titles including Pontins Professional and then took first place in the world rankings .

Prize money

After the bonus for the runner-up had already been canceled last year, the winner's bonus was also reduced by £ 800 this year .
