The Pontins Professional 1988 was a snooker tournament as part of the 1987/88 season . It took place from May 7th to 14th at Pontins' holiday resort in Prestatyn on the north coast of Wales. It was the 15th edition of the tournament since 1974.

Defending champion Neal Foulds lost his opening match. John Parrott defeated Mike Hallett 9-1 in the final . It was the biggest defeat in tournament history.

Prize money

There was £ 1,000 more this year, but this was still only given to the two finalists. Both players got £ 500 more.
