The 1975 Pontins Professional was a snooker tournament as part of the 1974/75 season . It was the second edition of the tournament at Pontins' Holiday Park in Prestatyn on the north coast of Wales. The tournament took place in May 1975 after the World Cup .
The final was a remake of the 1974 final between Welshman Ray Reardon and Englishman John Spencer . If the result was close in the previous year, the reigning world champion Reardon won this time with a clear 10: 4 and successfully defended his title.
Prize money
As in the previous year , the game was played for £ 1,000 , which the tournament winner received as prize money.
Final round
The field remained almost unchanged, only the Australian Eddie Charlton was replaced by Dennis Taylor from Northern Ireland. In three rounds, a winner was determined in the elimination process.
