The Pontins Professional 1998 was a snooker tournament during the 1997/98 season . It was held from May 16-23 at Pontins' holiday resort in Prestatyn on the north coast of Wales. It was the 25th edition of the tournament that had been introduced in 1974.

Defending champion Martin Clark reached the final again, but could not win a second time. After 9 years the winner came from Wales again: Mark Williams won the final 9: 6.
