The Labatt's Canadian Masters 1987 was a professional snooker invitation tournament as part of the 1987-88 season . It was from 26 to 31 October 1987 in the CBC TV studios in the Canadian Toronto discharged. The winner was the Northern Irishman Dennis Taylor , who defeated the Englishman Jimmy White 9: 7 in the final. Taylor played the tournament's highest break with a 127 break.
The Canadian Masters in 1987 was the third and final tournament of Barry Hearn 's company Matchroom Sport discharged 1987 World Series .
Prize money
Compared to last year, the prize pool increased by approximately £ 13,000 to £ 75,000, with a third going to the winner.

The Northern Irishman Dennis Taylor had defeated the defending champion Steve Davis in the first round and moved into the final with an 8: 5 win over Cliff Thorburn . His opponent Jimmy White , on the other hand, only made it into the final in the last frame of his game against Neal Foulds .
White won the first frame, but Taylor equaled immediately. The game developed into a very even final, until 3: 3 no player could take the lead with more than one frame. Taylor then managed to increase to 5: 3 with the help of a 127 break, but White was able to equalize immediately and then take the lead 5: 6. Taylor turned the game around and eventually restored his old lead gap. White came up to 8: 7 with a 73 break, but Taylor won the 16th frame with 63:53, so that he won the Canadian Masters for the second time.
