Matchroom Sports is very important in the billiards sector. After the Premier League snooker had been organized for some time , an alternative world championship in 9-ball pool was organized in 1999 . The WPA ( World Pool-Billiard Association ) has been working with Matchroom Sport since 2000 , so that the official 9-ball world championship is organized together. The 8-Ball World Championship , which has existed since 2004, is also jointly organized by Matchroom Sport and the WPA. However, both have been suspended since 2007 and 2008, respectively, instead there is now an annual world championship with the 10-Ball World Championship that is not hosted by Matchroom Sport.

Another event organized by Matchroom is the Mosconi Cup , which has been held annually between the USA and Europe since 1994 and has been organized by Matchroom Sport since 2003.
