Einar Christian Lurås Oftebro (born August 6, 1998 ) is a Norwegian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

On January 9, 2016, Oftebro made his debut in the Nordic Combined Continental Cup in Høydalsmo . In this competition series, he was able to classify himself in the points rankings for the first time on December 16, 2016 in Klingenthal as 26th. He had previously participated in the 2016 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Râșnov , Romania . His best result there was a fifth place in the team competition together with Lars Ivar Skårset , Petter Løset Skodjereite and Leif Torbjørn Næsvold . A year later, he also started at the 2017 Junior World Ski Championships in Soldier Hollow, USA . As in the previous year, he achieved his best result in the team here, this time together with his younger brother Jens Lurås Oftebro , Kasper Moen Flatla and Skårset. In 2018 Oftebro competed in his third Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Kandersteg . This time he managed to win two medals: First, on January 30, 2018, he won the silver medal in the Gundersen competition on the normal hill with a subsequent cross-country distance of ten kilometers. Two days later he achieved bronze in a team competition with his brother, Simen Kvarstad and Andreas Skoglund. On 4 March 2018 he made his debut in the Finnish Lahti in the Nordic Combined World Cup . He achieved his first point placement on November 24, 2018 in twelfth place in Ruka .
