The 1989 London Masters was a professional snooker tournament of the 1988/89 season . It was held from September 1988 to May 23, 1989 in the Cafe Royal in London . The long period was caused by the fact that only one game was played per week.

In the final, Stephen Hendry defeated the Englishman John Parrott 4-2. No century break was played during the Continental Airlines sponsored tournament .

Hendry won the first frame, but then fell 2-1 behind. With a break of 53 he was able to equalize and also won the two following frames, so that Hendry won the tournament.
