Jimmy White was able to take the lead with 0-2 before Steve Davis scored the 1: 2 with a 136 break. White just won the next frame with 58:59 and the next frame also went to White, so that he legally needed a frame to win the tournament. But Davis found his playing field and won the next frame to a 5-4 victory.
