The 1989 Benson & Hedges Masters was an invitation-only snooker tournament for the 1988/89 season that was held from January 21 to 29, 1989 at the Wembley Conference Center in London . It was the 15th edition of the Masters.

Stephen Hendry won the final 9: 6 against John Parrott . It was the first tournament victory for him at the Masters. The round of 16 match between Terry Griffiths and Silvino Francisco was suspected of being tampered with, as betting on this result was extremely frequent.
