Benson & Hedges
Benson & Hedges is the best-selling cigarette brand of the English tobacco company Gallaher Group (which has since been taken over by Japan Tobacco ) based in London. Benson & Hedges was founded in 1873 by Richard Benson and William Hedges, and in 1955 the tobacco company known today as the Gallaher Group took over the company. The brand increased its awareness through sports sponsorship, including at cricket events such as the Benson & Hedges Cup , snooker such as the Benson & Hedges Masters and as a long-term sponsor of the Formula 1 team, the Jordan Grand Prix .
From March 2019, the brand was transferred in several steps under the Winston brand . Only B&H Gold remained under this name.
An advertising slogan in the 1980s was: "Anyone who gets this taste has found their style".
