The SAGA Insurance Masters took place in 2007 from January 14th to 21st at the Wembley Arena in London .
In contrast to the previous year , 19 instead of 18 players were invited. The top 13 of the snooker world rankings were placed in the round of 16. The numbers 14-16 of the ranking list played against the winner of the qualifying tournament, Stuart Bingham , as well as against the two players invited by the organizers Jimmy White and Ding Junhui for the last three round of 16 places. In this preliminary round, Ding Junhui managed a maximum break and has since become the youngest player to have a perfect frame live on TV.
In the further course of the tournament, Ding Junhui even reached the final, but was clearly defeated by Ronnie O'Sullivan with 3:10. It was O'Sullivan's third victory at the Masters.
