The bgc Masters 2012 was a snooker tournament (invitation tournament) that was held from January 15 to 22, 2012 in Alexandra Palace in London . The defending champion was Ding Junhui from China, who was knocked out 4: 6 against Ronnie O'Sullivan in the first round . For the first time since his debut in 1989, Stephen Hendry did not take part in the tournament. BGC Partners was the official sponsor of the tournament for the first time .

Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy were both in the final of this tournament for the first time, the Australian won the title with a 10: 6 win.
