The Benson & Hedges Masters 2000 was an invitation-only snooker tournament for the 1999/2000 season that was held from February 7-14 , 2000 at the Wembley Conference Center in London . It was the 26th edition of the Masters.
Matthew Stevens won the final against last year's finalist , Ken Doherty, 10-8 . It was Stevens first Masters tournament victory. Ken Doherty was on his way to play the 36th official maximum break in the 15th frame of the final , but failed on the last black. With 140 points this was the highest break of the tournament.
In the wildcard round , Ali Carter beat Steve Davis 6-5 . Jimmy White defeated Marco Fu 6-3.
