The 1999 Benson & Hedges Masters was an invitation-only snooker tournament for the 1998/99 season that was held from February 7-14 , 1999 at the Wembley Conference Center in London . It was the 25th edition of the Masters.

With a 10: 8 win in the final against Ken Doherty , John Higgins won the Masters for the first time. Defending champion Mark Williams lost in the quarterfinals to Alan McManus .

In the wildcard round, James Wattana defeated David Gray 6-2, Mark King defeated Jimmy White 6-5.
